This village is comprised of several distinctive neighborhoods—the oldest buildings are mostly clustered around downtown while the ridgetop neighborhood of The Heights offers captivating views of the Manhattan skyline.

Ridgewood is within easy reach of New York City, and several major shopping malls in neighboring Paramus are less than a ten minutes’ drive away.

Ridgewood has a vibrant downtown area covering the streets around Ridgewood Station with dozens of shops and restaurants. Country Pancake House serves hearty portions of homestyle diner fare. All meals at this family-run local favorite are prepared with fresh ingredients bought from local farms and markets. Country Pancake House has been listed in several Zagat Survey Review categories, including “Best Breakfast” and “Best Bang for Your Dining Buck”. Park West Tavern is a sophisticated contemporary American tavern serving mouthwatering steaks and seafood alongside an extensive selection of craft beers and handcrafted cocktails. Things to Do

Ridgewood boasts lots of parks and green space. Graydon Park has a sandy beach surrounding a public swimming pool, as well as play areas and sports courts. Veterans Field offers four baseball and softball fields and free summer concerts at the Kasschau Memorial Shell. Citizen’s Park contains soccer and baseball fields as well as a hill used for sledding in the winter. Saddle River Country Park extends for 577 acres along the path of the Saddle River to Ridgewood’s south. Miles of trails run through this scenic linear park. The park entrance closest to Ridgewood features a beautiful duck pond that is used for ice skating in the winter and fishing during the warmer months.
