Ridgewood boasts lots of parks and green space. Graydon Park has a sandy beach surrounding a public swimming pool, as well as play areas and sports courts. Veterans Field offers four baseball and softball fields and free summer concerts at the Kasschau Memorial Shell. Citizen’s Park contains soccer and baseball fields as well as a hill used for sledding in the winter. Saddle River Country Park extends for 577 acres along the path of the Saddle River to Ridgewood’s south. Miles of trails run through this scenic linear park. The park entrance closest to Ridgewood features a beautiful duck pond that is used for ice skating in the winter and fishing during the warmer months.
